This blog addresses my problem of my ThinkPad X61 XP C: drive consuming itself. But I have an additional twist. My ThinkPad Productivity Center & Toolbox does not contain an Advanced button! So that nifty solution is not available. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

After looking at the defrag report, I found Dr. Watson. Bah. 2.91g of crap called a "debugging log". I turned Dr. Watson off and deleted the stupid log. I assume the log was probably that big because of all the errors I was getting from not having any disk space! So if anyone else is still having problems after cleaning up R&R stuff, try this website that explains how to turn off or delete Dr. Watson. It will also show where the log file is. http://www.ehow.com/how_5201673_delete-dr-watson-postmortem-debugger.html

I had this same problem while trying to fix my mother's laptop. She plays spider solitaire and reads her email. Definitely not enough to take up all that disk space. I looked and looked and cleaned up programs, compressed, compacted, emptied, etc and still only came up with around %10 space- not even enough to run the defrag program. Finally I found R&R and the backup files. I got the same message about not having enough space to delete. After starting with the smallest file and working my way back to the base backup I managed to delete them all. I know have %34. Is there some other place I need to look? It still seems like a lot of space is being taken up. I wish I would have found this website before. It would have made my life a lot easier.

I tried many of the solutions mentioned here, the deleting the extra 5 backups found in R&R which took FOREVER and barely worked, unlocking and then deleting the files/folder whioch did NOT OWRK AT ALL under either of two programs.

The only thing that worked was uninstalling R&R through Control Panel. That took quite a while, but at the end 95 megs free instead of 10!! Success at last :+)

ME REPLY TO dd-wrt:
I would say that knocks your company out of the loop. 2500 Euro to
> allow an agency to put an Identification header is not realistic. There exists NO CARE about your dd-wrt logo or branding...leave it. Simply wanted to put a header that can be changed at will by the agencies using this - for easy IDENTIFICATION only. Not interested in your professional version either...they simply do not need...they only need the "special" BroadComm version. Perhaps HUNTSVILLE, Alabama hasn't quite clicked yet...NASA, MSFC, Redstone, Intergraph, Avocent, Boeing, SCI, etc. I will incorporate a different solution.
>
> I will re-read your licensing agreement again, however, I did not see anything restricting me from using the paid special BroadComm version for WRT54GS commercially, privately, or governmentally. Correct me if I am wrong.
>
> Thank you for the response.

This was a mistake in my last mail. The initial fee is 1500€ not 2500.

Note that these versions are integrated to our normal development/build process so your branding will kept up-to-date.

I think that it should also have a form and we need to fix that damn AnchorFree BS because they obviously aren't paying anyone for their ad's being everywhere. Also when you go to disable AnchorFree, the ad's won't go away, thats a bug that needs to be fixed for sure, and while were at it I would love to be able to use my own Google Adsense instead of this BS AnchorFree since it's not even generating any revenue at all... Common Sense?

Hey Guys

If all else fails get yourself a bootable Linux disk ie Puppy Linux. Boot from it and delete the RRbackups folder. Make sure you uninstall the R&R program first. Linux to the rescue again. Tried this on a vista system after getting very cross with Leneovo PC and I used to sell their gear.

You can easily delete selected Rescue & Recovery backup files directly as follows:

Start>Programs>(IBM)>ThinkVantage>Rescue&Recovery>
Advanced>Delete backups

Select the backups you wish to delete and click 'Delete'. They will all be gone in a few seconds. Make sure you back them up first if needed.
